HELLO,I'M KHÔI.
I tell stories, mostly with pictures.

Life moves like a roll of film.
Most frames slip by unnoticed, and only a few stay with us.
Stories are what keep those few from fading.
I used to think stories were
FOUND.
Now I know they are
CRAFTED.
slowly, drop by drop, the way coffee drips through a filter.
They don't look like they belong together.
But each of them, in its own way, is trying to say the same thing: I want you to feel something.
How a story takes shape, as far as I can tell:
It starts with a feeling.
Not an idea, not a plan. Just a feeling I want you to leave with. Everything else follows it, quietly.
Then I take things away.
A photo I love, a line I was proud of. If they don't serve the story, I let them go, and the story usually breathes a little easier.
I leave a door open for surprise.
The best frame is often the accidental one: a laugh between shots, a note in the coffee nobody expected.
In time, people forget what they saw.
But how it made them feel stays,
like the smell of rain on a street still warm from the sun.
So I make minewith whatever I happen to know:
- a camera, and the light at five in the afternoon,
- an old guitar, and a piano,
- a deck of cards that has been with me since I was a kid,
- a screen, late at night, when the house is quiet,
- and a cup of coffee, a pot of tea, or a glass of wine that takes its time.
Every project here is a story.
